Top student Xiao Ye meets A Nan, the local prickly-headed underachiever.
When they first heard each other's names:
A Nan: "Xiao Ye? What kind of crap name is that? Sounds like barbecue!"
Who knew that after just a few encounters, he'd be calling him Brother Ye.
Xiao Ye: "A Nan? How old are you, still going around calling yourself A Nan? That's giving me goosebumps." Then he found out the guy's name really was A Nan. And A is actually a surname! Xiao Ye looked it up, and sure enough, it was. Apparently his ancestors were Manchu. So he's not Han after all. No wonder he's such a prickly character!
A high school campus story, a strong-couple romance, lighthearted, with a happy ending.
They're both the cool, cocky type: the unconventional top student, Brother Ye, and the local number one, Brother Nan, in a story about youth.
I'll start updating this story in July. For now, I need to finish writing Long Life, Never to Part.
Stay tuned!
It's so funny listening to the two of them talking.
