A Temporary Underworld Worker's Path to Full-Time Status

Ever since the Underworld started hiring civil servants, Zhang Wanting, who has been dead for over a thousand years, rushed straight to the registration office to sign up, only to be told she was ineligible because she had no formal education.

Luckily, she got the chance to earn a civil service position with merit points: she would play vengeful spirits and resolve their grudges. Heh! Zhang Wanting rubbed her hands together, ready to show off what she could do!

What do you do when you run into a scumbag boyfriend, a terrible mother-in-law, and awful relatives? Hit them! Hit them until they learn why flowers are so red!

What do you do when you have a son who gives you nothing but trouble? Wait, why am I, the esteemed Ghost King, being made to play the son of a vengeful spirit?! Well, being a boy is pretty nice too. What do I do if I accidentally become the school's most popular guy?!

Hmm, hmm...

What's going on? This role is so much fun. Why won't they let me play it anymore?!

The ghost enforcers: Your Majesty, please take it easy! Ever since you started playing vengeful spirits, all the female ghosts in the Underworld have become your fans! They're more violent than one another. Please give us back our gentle and virtuous female ghosts!

Xie Lao Qi: My wife has had this temper for a thousand years! I love it!

Zhang Wanting: Wait, when did I become your wife?

The ghost enforcers: We're not eating this dog food!
