Spending Diary

After Zhou Shu, the Grand Astrologer of the Tianqian Kingdom, once again spent years of his life to divine a glimmer of hope for his nation as it teetered on the brink, his life force finally ran out. At last, he let go of every burden and closed his eyes.

He thought he would sleep forever, but when he opened his eyes again, he had become a character in a virtual pet game.

Huo Yanzhi had been poor his whole life. Having grown up terrified of being broke, he stayed thrifty (stingy) even after making his fortune. He never spent money carelessly, much less on those money-grubbing games.

Yet one day, a virtual pet game suddenly appeared on his phone. Maybe he was bored that day, or maybe the character model was just too good-looking. Huo Yanzhi couldn't resist opening the game, which looked like it would drain his wallet...

From that day on, Huo Yanzhi spent money every day, crying as he did.

At first:

Game: "Recharge 10 RMB to get a super gift pack."

Huo Yanzhi: "Spend money in a game? Not happening. Only idiots pay to play."

Later:

Game: "Recharge 20,000 RMB to have dinner with Zhou Shu."

Huo Yanzhi: "Charge, charge, charge! I'm an idiot with money to burn, and I'm on my way!"
