Updates every other day. Once I've built up a buffer, I'll update daily, probably around eight each evening. If something comes up (like getting absorbed in a game), I might be a little late. Hope you enjoy it [palms together]
Your comments and bookmarks are the greatest encouragement you can give me. Aww!
Reading guide:
1. This story is a slow burn, slower than you can imagine, about as fast as it takes to start a fire by rubbing sticks together.
2. The author loves over-the-top, elaborate details. I'm the kind of person who'd die if I went a day without special effects. Occasionally goofy, and with more rambling than actual story.
3. I'm a doting parent with a filter thicker than the bottom of a beer bottle. I can be sensitive sometimes. I can take constructive suggestions, but please take character-bashing elsewhere, so I don't get upset and start a fight.
4. The character names are listed in two columns for the main and secondary couples. The first name is the gong. The official pairings won't be switched or split, so don't ship them wrong (x).
5. Some other characters also get quite a bit of screen time, but I'm too lazy to list them (... ...) Feel free to interpret the pairings for characters without official ones. Having fun is what matters [manually added doge]
6. Happy ending, absolutely. If it doesn't have a happy ending, come beat me up through the internet.
The farewell crane startles at the cold stream,
Frost is broken as wine is poured to refuse the dew of heaven.
The bowstring drawn taut, blackbirds cry over the vast marsh,
Swords rise, flying catkins stain the green grass.
Painted clouds chase spring beyond the horizon,
Fine dust remains, gathering the moon at dusk.
A thatched gate by the Red River restrains the treacherous,
Pine and bamboo, clear winds, forge a hero's spirit.
I didn't know what else to add, so here's a poem I wrote with my toes. I've tucked in a little personal wish. You'll notice it after reading the story, w.
