Distant Kos (Interstellar)

Barbarism and civilization coexist; mythology and technology soar side by side.

As resources dwindled and extreme weather became more frequent, internal conflicts brought the people of Haiqiu to the brink of extinction. A cosmic storm gave Haiqiu a chance at survival, sweeping it into the Shenwu Star System, where it became a satellite of the planet Kesi. At the time, Kesi was in the throes of a rebellion. The people of Haiqiu offered the ruler of Kesi their technology to put down the uprising, on the condition that they be allowed to live on Kesi.

Every planet in the Shenwu Star System followed the path of cultivation. Like people from Earth, the people of Haiqiu could not cultivate, and had to develop technology instead.

More than a hundred years passed. Thanks to their technology, the people of Haiqiu had effectively taken control of Kesi, oppressing its native inhabitants at every turn. But they faced problems of their own: unable to cultivate or train in martial arts, they had to rely on technology, which required resources both to develop and to manufacture.

The people of Haiqiu needed to keep digging for usable resources on Kesi. Some even began considering exploiting resources from other planets.

Duo Suolang was a native of Kesi who had accidentally become a slave. Jiang Jintu was the young son of a slave-owning family from Haiqiu.

Duo Suolang was chosen for the manor by Jiang Jintu, a man who cared about looks, and the story began.

This is the story of Jiang Jintu secretly falling for his slave, Duo Suolang, and helping the straight-laced Duo Suolang build a career together.
