Love Beyond Control

When Wen Ci was eight, he earned his first pot of gold. His employer was the pretty woman who lived next door.

The pretty woman told Wen Ci that if he became friends with Lin Jingshen, who seemed a little mean-spirited, she would pay him a hundred yuan a month and buy him a phone watch.

For the sake of money, Wen Ci had trained himself from childhood to be sharp and perceptive, learning everything about Lin Jingshen's interests and hobbies.

At eighteen, Wen Ci made his way into the enemy's heart and became Lin Jingshen's officially acknowledged lover.

But first love is always beautiful and brief, with a touch of regret.

Many years later, one night at four in the morning, Wen Ci was woken by a text from an unknown number.

The message contained a picture.

A huge, perfectly round full moon.

He suddenly remembered how, on the Mid-Autumn Festival when he was nineteen, Lin Jingshen had been drinking and pointed at the moon.

"One day, I'll give you the most beautiful moon in the world."
