Twenty years ago, after a great war, the Omegas were struck by biological weapons, and only a small number survived. The Alphas gathered them together, provided food and hired renowned doctors so they could recover and rebuild their lives.

Only the descendants of those who had distinguished themselves in battle could arrange a betrothal in advance, marrying their Omega after coming of age.

With his grandfather’s help, Yu Kaifeng, the eldest grandson of the Yu family, had his mother choose an Omega for him. When he was five, he was betrothed to an Omega baby.

Five years older than his Omega, Yu Kaifeng had long since reached the age to form a bond. He quietly waited for his Omega to graduate and grow up. Unfortunately, his Omega was a hopeless student, not only unable to graduate early, but even at risk of being held back.

Yu Kaifeng thought the other boy was malnourished, so he sent over one delicious meal after another. But neither his weight nor his intelligence improved; both remained terribly low. Even so, Yu Kaifeng had no intention of giving up on him. He worked to improve his own combat skills and waited patiently.

He waited and waited, and then his Omega actually ran away!
