This idea came to me after watching the latest interview with Fassbender and McAvoy. Their take on the relationship between Erik and Charles was practically the real deal serving us fanfiction. Who needs fanfic?! It was so sweet!
Especially when Fassbender said he was on Professor X's side, and McAvoy said he supported Magneto. Mutual understanding and support, what's not to love?
The Fassbender and McAvoy transmigrate into the timeline before X-Men: Days of Future Past. In this timeline, Erik and Charles are busy leading the X-Men and the Brotherhood, getting into trouble and stopping each other from causing trouble...
Before the events of Days of Future Past, our two adorable actors show up!
Unlike Erik and Charles, where the Professor is the one who puts up with Magneto, Fassbender is crazy about McAvoy, and loves fooling around with him and James, playing all sorts of games. Of course, don't doubt their professionalism as actors.
Fassbender: You know I'm not Erik, so why are you hitting me?
McAvoy: You have to make it convincing. Besides, you are Erik right now, and you abandoned me.
Fassbender: (Gets into character in a second) You abandoned us!
McAvoy: Erik, come on, let's go...
X-Men: (Stares disapprovingly)
Fassbender: Charles, I'm coming!
Brotherhood: (Is the boss trying to capture the leader first? If he gets the Professor and the X-Men on our side, they're all ours.)
X-Men: Professor, I think Magneto's sudden change of heart has to be a trick. You can't trust him too much!
McAvoy: It's fine, we've already been in bed together. (Lets that slip.)
X-Men: ??? Magneto, get out here! What did you do to our Professor?
Fassbender: James, want to play a game of chess? The real kind, not the kind for a scene.
McAvoy: Will you let me win?
Fassbender: No. Of course not.
McAvoy: But clearly that's not what you were thinking, Michael.
Fassbender: (Swaying back and forth while controlling metal.)
McAvoy: (???)
Fassbender: (Glances at him, then keeps swaying.)
McAvoy: (Gets the hint.)
Fassbender: (In his head) Sometimes when we touch...
McAvoy: (Starts swaying along.)
