The most bewildering thing that ever happened to Lin Xi was becoming famous on her very first day at university.

The person who became famous alongside her on C University's BBS was Chen Xian, her high school desk mate, who competed with her for first place every day.

Later, when the host of the campus radio station interviewed one of C University's Ten Outstanding Students of the Year, they asked: "C University's male heartthrob, what's it like dating your rumored girlfriend?"

When they got home, Lin Xi asked him: "What do you mean, having control over the narrative?"

Chen Xian was quiet for two seconds. "I posted that rumor thread."

After work, the two curled up on the couch to watch TV.

Chen Xian's white shirt was unbuttoned to his collarbone. He tapped her on the head with a long, elegant finger. "Can't you eat something that doesn't need peeling for once?"

Lin Xi ate the pomelo he handed her and thought for a moment. "Hmm... Then I'll have you."
