Reader's notes: 1. Short story, no more than five chapters.
2. Squalo survives. This won't follow the ending in Shameful Smoke, but the drug squad will appear.
3. BG romance, told in first person from the heroine Clesia's perspective. She is also a Stand user.
4. There are original elements and changes. Squalo's appearance follows the anime colors, though I personally prefer his white outfit in the manga. He is 22 in 2001, and the heroine is the same age.
5. The story begins the day before Squalo goes to steal the inheritance.
6. Regarding the name, I know some translations use "Shale," but the first manga version I read used "Squalo," so that's the name I'm using.
7. This story is just for my own enjoyment. Updates will start around mid-July during summer break.
A few more personal ramblings: I suddenly fell for Part Five's Squalo, got an idea, and started writing! I feel like Squalo is a pretty obscure character too. (I really am devoted to obscure pairings_(:з"∠)_) This is an original-heroine BG story, with Squalo as the love interest. Since this guy only appears briefly in Part Five, and it's hard to say much about his personality, there'll be some original elements. I'll do my best to keep him in character. ⊙▽⊙ Anyway, I have no idea why I wanted to write a Squalo BG story. Maybe I just suddenly wondered what it would be like to date someone like him. After all, when I saw him complaining about pain in episode seven, I thought he was pretty cute. He's one of the rare villains in Part Five who survives, so I'll give him a happy ending. ⊙▽⊙
