The Best of You in the Worst of Times

Beichen, so many times, it was because of you that I chose to stay in Class Zero.

I wanted to be as outstanding as you and stand by your side.

Because of you, I came to love this cold world. You were the one who led me out of the abyss.

But...

Perhaps our parting was the saddest thing that ever happened to me, and also the warmest.

The sadness came from the helplessness of fate; the warmth came from knowing that, this time, it wasn't our choice.

You'd stay by my side forever. It turns out that was just a wishful fantasy of mine.
