A bone spirit who cultivated successfully believes she is an indispensable bone of Tang Sanzang. Her mother gave her an adorably girlish name: Tang Xiaogu.

After finding Tang Sanzang, she trots along behind him, calling him "Daddy."

Tang Sanzang looks at the little girl who has not yet fully grown and points to the small bone sticking out of her head. "How could I be your father? Little benefactor, don't make things up. This poor monk has taken vows. Amitabha..." He closes his eyes and ponders.

Tang Xiaogu: "My mother told me that you are my daddy." She pouts sadly.

Tang Sanzang: "Who is your mother? How have I never heard of her?"

Tang Xiaogu: "Lady White Bone! She told me herself, and sent me to find you."

Tang Sanzang: "...Are you sure that monster isn't trying to eat me?"

As it turns out, Tang Xiaogu gets along wonderfully with the other four members of their group. She plucks hairs from Sun Wukong and blows them into a whole crowd of monkey descendants, then chases them around trying to poke their bottoms. She climbs onto Zhu Bajie's head, twists his ears, sleeps on his belly, and pulls out some of Sha Wujing's beard to use as... a scarf?

Later, she becomes sworn brothers with Red Boy and disguises herself as the eighth Spider Demon to cause chaos in Pansi Cave?

After the Eighty-One Tribulations, does the Buddha's light shine down on her and turn her into a laid-back bone spirit?

Qiao Chuchu accidentally transmigrates and, the moment she opens her eyes, is so startled that she trips and falls.

Bats with human faces fly overhead, ghostly figures crowd the depths of the forest, and sinister laughter gives her goosebumps. It takes her a while to realize she is in a "magical" Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio world.

With no money, power, or friends, she can only tough it out. The System forces her to follow the plot, but she ends up having a blast! When she encounters a painted-skin demon, she stays calm, steals its human skin, and plays spy games with it, leaving it with no choice but to swallow its pride. Holding dozens of the demon's skins, she sets them on fire and threatens, "Hurry up and peel off the skin you're wearing and give it to me too!"

Painted-Skin Demon: "...Don't be ridiculous!"

As Qiao Chuchu runs wildly through the plot, a young Taoist priest named Chu Feng appears. He thinks she has decent aptitude and wants her to follow him up the mountain to cultivate the Tao.

Qiao Chuchu refuses outright: "Do I look like the sort of person who'd cultivate the Tao?"

"Very much so."

She runs, he chases, and she has nowhere to hide!

The Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio world is full of eerie things, so having a Taoist priest around isn't bad. Then one day he suddenly pins her against the wall and says, very seriously, "Let's elope."

Seeing him confess his love in such an old-fashioned way, Qiao Chuchu crouches down and slips away.

Chu Feng: "? Is something wrong?"

Passing by Lanruo Temple, she opens the temple door and sees a monkey face. Beside it is a frail-looking Tang monk. She cries, "Has Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio cheated on Journey to the West, or has Journey to the West gone off with someone else?"

When Sun Wukong dashes up and asks if she'd like to join them on their Journey to the West, Qiao Chuchu smiles wryly. "I can say no, right?"
