Shen Qumai is the second son in his family. He's the foil to his older brother, Shen Quyao; the person everyone at school avoids; the one who gets blamed whenever someone at home causes trouble; and someone who keeps reaching for love, only to be disappointed every time.
Shen Qumai doesn't get along with his family. When he complains to his grandfather about wanting to change his name, his grandfather tells him that it was his grandmother who chose it, hoping her little wheat sprout would be brave enough to fly.
Ji Cangshu is also the second son in his family and the young master of Sheng Nuan, a national cashmere brand. The family needs to expand its business, so they send him to Nancheng to conduct an on-site inspection.
Shen Qumai has never been able to deny that Shen Quyao is handsome. That includes the people he shamelessly pursued himself, until he met Ji Cangshu.
It's a very melodramatic story. The day they meet, Shen Qumai gets drenched, gets into a fight with a customer while working at a restaurant, and ends up being laughed at.
Later, Ji Cangshu needs a local guide for business, and that local is Shen Qumai.
Theme: Everyone has the right to seek love. No one should look down on those brave enough to pursue it.
