Eighteen-year-old Zhu Jue died in a car accident. When he woke up, he discovered that his soul had taken up residence in the pink dog plush pillow of his romantic rival, He Xian.
He Xian told him the pillow was stuffed with soul-nourishing cotton, and that as a guest, he had to pay rent. If he couldn't afford it, he could sell himself as a mascot to cover the cost.
Zhu Jue: I'm the great Second Young Master Zhu! With a wave of my hand, I can make the He family go bankrupt overnight. A mascot? What are you talking about!
But at He Xian's inn, why is the receptionist covered in green fur? Why does the chef always smell like meat? And why can the cleaner punch a hole right through the floor?
Most importantly, his romantic rival He Xian seems to be some kind of inhuman big shot.
Much later, Zhu Jue declared, "I, Zhu Jue, second boss of the Gui Ren Inn, command all the restless dead to come to me!"
