Dreams and Heroes

Fu Qiuyu: Becoming a hero comes with an age limit. Once you get too old, you can never be an agent of justice again. So I'm done being human, Shenkong!

Qi Yu: ? You're cramming in too many references. And stop posing and come help me beat this two-player level!

Escape from the Island of Terror, begin!

[Do not go gentle into that good night]

[Fierce rage should not fade beneath the dying light]

[Rage, rage]

[Against the dying of the light] - from Interstellar

I dedicate this poem to Qiuyu, and to everyone lost and struggling.

A few things to know before reading:

1. Shenkong updates too slowly, and many of its details are still unclear. Some of the details I'm writing are only educated guesses based on the information currently available, and may well be contradicted by future official updates. So here's my disclaimer: This story's timeline is fixed at August 15, 2024, after the Valentine's Day event. It was officially updated on Jinjiang on October 30. Anything the official story establishes after that date is not grounds to come after me.

2. I'm writing this purely for love of the story, so updates will be irregular. If you enjoy it, please leave comments. Let's all have fun fawning over Yu together.

Theme: Even dead wood can be reborn.
