Coming soon: Years of Today
Blurb 1:
Everyone in Beiping knew that General Xu Yi kept a well-mannered, delicate young woman at home. The girl was considerate and graceful in every way when dealing with people outside.
People often marveled that a rough-and-ready man like Xu Yi had raised such a gentle, sweet girl.
Whenever Xu Yi heard this, he would only smile without saying a word. People assumed he was simply being unusually modest.
One day, however, Xu Yi's close friend went to his residence to look for him and found a girl climbing a ladder, slowly making her way up toward the rafters. Looking down the ladder, she saw Xu Yi holding a military manual in one hand and steadying it with the other.
"What are you... doing?"
"Holding the ladder!"
Ji He could hardly believe that the lively girl hopping around before him was Lin Jiang, the very girl Xu Yi had kept at his home, whom everyone outside called sweet and adorable.
Ji He looked at Lin Jiang, who was leaning against Xu Yi and nodding off, and struggled to find the words. "Is that Lin Jiang?"
Xu Yi nodded to Ji He while reaching out to steady Lin Jiang's lolling head.
Ji He could only marvel to himself. Who would have guessed that the gentle, well-mannered girl everyone talked about was like this around Xu Yi?
Blurb 2:
Xu Yi listened as his friend went on and on about how his girl was unruly and would be impossible to discipline when she grew up.
After they were married, Xu Yi was playing chess with Ji He one day, tea in hand, when Ji He once again brought up how Xu Yi's wife loved to cause trouble and was nowhere near as quiet as other people's wives.
Xu Yi took a sip of tea. "So what? I spoiled her. Who dares say a word about her?"
Later, everyone knew that the general's wife, with her childlike nature, had been spoiled by General Xu Yi himself.
No one ever criticized Xu Yi for it. Instead, the two became a couple everyone envied.
Notice: This novel will be available for purchase starting December 20, from Chapter 35.
Since the novel is already complete, please consider your purchase carefully. If you've already read it, please don't buy it again.
I haven't really gone back to reread and finish revising the story (I admit I'm lazy). I'll give it a full edit and fix the typos during the New Year holiday, so please consider carefully before purchasing the chapters available now.
Young Master Qi had never met the fiancée his mother had chosen for him, yet he disliked her all the same. So, once he was a little older, he found all sorts of ways to bully the girl: sending her letters with little bugs inside to scare her, or sneaking into her home and breaking her favorite doll. Then one day, Young Master Qi met a girl he thought was the most wonderful person in the world. She looked better than every other girl, had a personality he liked more, and got along with him better than anyone else. But... when Young Master Qi told her who he was, she turned and walked away. Much later, his mother dragged him along to visit An Jinyu, who was about to come of age, and he was stunned to see the girl standing obediently beside Master An. She was the very same girl he had once gone out with. And so... what goes around comes around. Young Master Qi learned firsthand what it meant to enjoy making life miserable for his future wife, only to end up chasing her in vain.
