Across the interstellar galaxy lies a unique planet, Shuiyue, home to a group of beastfolk with rare bloodlines.
Disa, king of the most important nation on Shuiyue, the Dorn Empire, is a dangerous and alluring mermaid. But merfolk have a fatal weakness: once a month, they suddenly lose control. According to an ancestral remedy, joining with the Northern Ice Wolf King is the only way to fix it.
As it happens, the Northern Ice Wolf King of the Dorn Empire is right by his side: Marshal Soy, admired by everyone.
Unfortunately, this marshal keeps everyone at arm's length. Cool and chaste, he's like an icy mountain, impossible to approach or climb.
Disa has tried to seduce him openly and subtly countless times, with lingering looks and intimate gestures, but the marshal remains unmoved.
Defeated, Disa decides to give up and stop embarrassing himself.
Then, one evening by chance, Disa discovers the marshal's secret...
Strange sounds come from an unfamiliar room. Through a crack in the door, Disa sees a drenched little teacup-dog boy kneeling at the marshal's feet. Under the marshal's riding crop, the teacup's weak voice sounds both pained and delighted.
An unfamiliar sight, an unfamiliar scene, an unfamiliar marshal.
Everything leaves Disa shocked and stunned. Yet amid the teacup boy's voice and the clear crack of the whip, he hears his own heart pounding like a drum, along with a faint, nearly imperceptible laugh.
He's come up with an interesting and audacious idea.
How can he replace that teacup and become the marshal's one and only puppy?
