To avoid confusion, this story is set on Earth in a multiverse where mutants exist, after the heroine arrives there. Lily has a dragon by her side that can change its size. When he was young, Erik lived in the same small town as Lily. Three years later, Lily chose to travel the world. Some time afterward, Erik and his family were taken to a concentration camp, leading to the events of the first X-Men movie.
Characterization may be out of character!!! The author just wants to write a story about the heroine and Erik, so lots of things definitely, definitely, definitely won't match the movies or comics. Just read it for fun. Dark Phoenix came out recently, and the author has already bought a ticket and is getting ready to see it in theaters.
