[Bungo Stray Dogs + Ooshiohara] The Great Prairie and the Great Sea, Donkeys and Fish

Reader's Guide

● The female lead is an original character from the game The Gray Garden: Celia, the Witch of the Abyss. The rest of her background will be revealed as the story unfolds. She is a mermaid.

● The male lead is Schrödinger's cat, so place your bets.

For the game The Gray Garden, check out the playthrough by Bilibili uploader Tears Duct Warrior. I've loved the story of Umi and Samekichi for a long time, so let me pour my love into this fanwork.

● The cover is temporary. I'll replace it once the female lead's character design is ready.

Celia had lived quietly for hundreds of years in a little coral hut in the Sea Empire. A witch, she had spent a very long time guarding this remote and mysterious abyss, rarely leaving the ocean floor.

Then one day, a hurricane inexplicably blew out of the Nameless Abyss and swept her into the rapids. After a whole day of violent spinning, she discovered that it had somehow blown her all the way ashore. She still had no idea where she was.

???

The point is, she's still a fish, okay?

Have you ever seen a mermaid? That's her, the kind with a human torso and a fish tail.

She's a half-mermaid and the Witch of the Abyss, an old acquaintance of the Witch of the Deep Sea next door. She has never set foot on land, at least not in the past hundred years.

What is this supposed to be? A modern-day Little Mermaid? But she's a witch, damn it!

Her familiar isn't here, and neither is her conch-shell communicator. The seagull-cat Nekoyama who always delivers her letters is missing too. Besides, there's no way Nekoyama could fly all the way to some far-off place it doesn't even know, right!?

Then she got knocked out.

This is probably seafood trafficking. Yeah.

One day, while on a mission and robbing a place, Dark Era Dazai curiously lifted the black cloth covering a huge water tank.

“...”

A-a mermaid!?
