Lu Gutang devoted his life to seeking the Dao. He stood apart from the crowd, pure and noble, like a clear sky after rain.
Recently, for reasons unknown, he had repeatedly fallen victim to the schemes of treacherous villains. In a single day, his reputation was ruined, and he became the despicable man people accused of conspiring with a demonic fiend and murdering his fellow disciples.
On the eve of his execution, a figure quietly appeared before him, claiming he would help Lu Gutang reclaim everything that was rightfully his.
“Why are you helping me?” Lu Gutang asked hoarsely.
“I have always cherished beauty and hated to see it harmed. I cannot bear to watch a cold moon from the ninth heaven fall into the mortal world.” The man’s voice was low and gentle, with an allure that could make one fall into demonic possession.
“I only wonder whether you have the courage to wager everything alongside me.”
A wager? He had lost everything. He had no chips left to stake.
No, perhaps there was one thing left: himself...
Lu Gutang summoned the last of his strength and placed his hand in the palm the man held out to him. As his consciousness sank into chaos, he faintly felt the other man clasp his hand tightly.
That grasp never loosened again, not for the rest of their lives.
Lu Gutang is the protagonist of Ji Qingrang’s first full-length novel, I Want to Cultivate Immortality.
Ji Qingrang poured an enormous amount of effort into creating this character.
He gave him the integrity of ice and snow, a resilient spirit, exceptional intelligence, and extraordinary courage.
Every admirable quality Ji Qingrang could think of was bestowed on Lu Gutang without reservation. Even when a huge number of readers complained that the protagonist was too much of a Gary Stu, it did nothing to shake his love for his own boy.
He even slipped in a little personal indulgence, writing a Demon Lord character who shared his own name, a free-spirited figure who was neither wholly good nor wholly evil.
He never expected that fate would take an unforeseen turn: Ji Qingrang accidentally transmigrated into the book and became that very Demon Lord, who would later spend thousands of chapters locked in a love-hate relationship with Lu Gutang.
Just as he was preparing to hurry over and cling to his protagonist son’s coattails, he discovered that an NPC whose name he could barely remember had snatched away many of the things he had given Lu Gutang.
Worse, the other man used truly despicable methods to frame Lu Gutang, forcing him to break his proud spirit, kneel and admit fault, burst into tears, and endure every kind of torment.
Ji Qingrang was furious. That very night, he spirited his precious boy home and decided to use his god’s-eye view to give him cheat-like upgrades.
Meridians completely destroyed? Fix them!
Heavenly treasures? Use them!
Peerless weapons? Buy them!
But instead of appreciating his fatherly devotion, Lu Gutang only became more and more spoiled.
“Cultivation is so hard. I don’t want to ascend anymore, unless...” The Immortal Lord Gu Tang, who was as aloof as a jade mountain in front of outsiders, nestled in Ji Qingrang’s arms like a kitten. His clothes were disheveled and his breathing ragged.
He tilted his head, his swollen red lips glistening, his eyes shimmering with tears. His usually cool features had taken on a hint of desire, his beauty dazzling enough to overwhelm the world.
“Unless you kiss me again.” His soft, sweet breath brushed Ji Qingrang’s ear, a bewitching whisper that tempted him to fall.
“Kiss me... and I’ll do anything you ask...”
Ji Qingrang: …
Can someone tell me what to do after raising my son into my wife?!
A cool and distant little bottom in public, clingy with his top X a hardworking, long-suffering dad of a top
The top and bottom dote on each other, the top and bottom dote on each other, the top and bottom dote on each other! (In bold and all caps)
There’s some angst, but it’s basically a sweet treat
A fluffy, illogical story with no brains required. Read with caution if you need every cause and effect to make sense
Theme: Be the best version of yourself
What the hell do conservatives think radicals are too conservative hahahahahaha
Hahahahahahahaha, is this the so-called brotherhood written by male video authors that is even more embarrassing?
