Donghai University's campus is no exception. Its shady paths are already covered in layers of fallen leaves that haven't yet withered. A hint of summer green remains on their surfaces, though faint yellow marks of decay are beginning to show, like beautiful faces still retaining their charm even after their youth has passed.
The tangled love and hate of Su He and the others unfolds in the scenic city of Donghai. They say people are strange creatures, with emotions and thoughts no one can figure out. One second, they may be complete strangers; the next, they may love each other deeply. Or they may be perfectly in sync one moment and total strangers the next. One cigarette and one bottle of liquor are enough for men to forge a friendship, while one remark or one glance can be enough to drive women apart. A life passes in a flash. Joy and sorrow, meeting and parting, are all just a play in the end. As long as you have no regrets, why dwell on fate's cruelty and life's many sorrows?
