Farming in Monster Mountain

Blurb One

Once upon a time, there was a mountain. On the mountain stood a village where a whole menagerie of spirits lived: some flew through the sky, some ran across the earth, and some swam in the water. There was also a little red panda.

The little red panda was a loner. She lived by herself halfway up the mountain, diligently growing bamboo and waiting for it to sprout shoots she could sell for money at the market.

On her way home from market, the little red panda happened upon an unconscious man.

She held his chin and studied him carefully for a long while.

He was quite handsome, more so than any man she had ever seen.

The little red panda scratched her furry head and smiled shyly.

Winter was coming, and her house was always cold, with no warmth to speak of. As it happened, she was in need of someone to warm her bed.

Blurb Two

The little red panda had been very busy lately. She had hired the woodpecker uncle from behind the mountain to renovate her house.

The house was old, the roof was always leaking, and the furnishings inside were so damp they had grown moldy.

She used to live there alone, so she hadn't minded. But things were different now. There was someone else in the house.

She watched her wallet shrink by another layer, then looked up at the handsome man's face in the house and suddenly felt at peace.

In ancient times, a golden house sheltered A Jiao. Today, a bear's house shelters a handsome man.

She couldn't let her husband suffer.
