My next historical romance, "The Empress Wants a Divorce," is now underway. Check it out in my author's profile, and please add it to your collection!
Li Zhi and her disabled daughter were brutally killed by Lin Qingxuan's first love. After a lifetime of misery, she learned one thing: without love, you're invincible.
Reborn into another life, she cuts the fickle, heartless Lin Qingxuan out of her heart, not for revenge, but to divorce him.
But Lin Qingxuan counters every move and refuses to give her what she wants. He's like a stubborn plaster that won't come off. And every time she peels off a layer, it turns out he's even more powerful, until he's become someone beyond compare and there's nothing left to uncover.
Lin Qingxuan: "There's nothing wrong with using my seed to have a daughter. But you want a divorce and to marry that old pretty boy with our daughter in tow? You can be reborn a thousand times and still forget it!"
Li Zhi: "You're the emperor! What dynasty has never had such a shameless ruler?"
Lin Qingxuan protested, deeply aggrieved. "In front of you, I'm just a pitiful man unloved by his wife!"
Li Zhi: "..."
1. Both are reborn. The married couple squabble and spar a little, but the whole story is sweet and doting.
2. The heroine has put love behind her. She's clever and outshines everyone around her. The hero is a flirt and extremely shameless, but after being reborn, his heart and body belong to her alone.
Blurb:
Li Sisi offended a powerful being and was sent into this book to complete a story-repair mission. Her golden finger is a particularly difficult-to-please jade immortal.
Mission role: A woman disguised as a man, a princess of the previous dynasty, and a minor character who foolishly tries to restore the old kingdom: Li Sinuo.
Mission objective: Eat, drink, and be merry, stay away from the emperor, and flirt casually with handsome men.
The problem is, what should she do when she flirts with the wrong person, and the handsome man she falls for turns out to be her sworn enemy, the current emperor?
The emperor says, "You made the first move, so don't even think about running!"
Scene One:
Li Sinuo: "Mu Rong is so handsome, refined, and elegant."
Jade Immortal: "Young lady, lust is a knife pointed at your throat!"
Li Sinuo: "Then let it be a knife. It'd be a waste to go through all this without flirting at least once!"
Scene Two:
Li Sinuo, filled with sorrow: "Your Majesty, my lifelong ambition is to be a worthy minister, serving the people of Great Yin until my dying breath."
The Emperor of Yin, looking pleased with himself: "Very well, I'll reward you. But I don't lack worthy ministers. I lack a worthy consort."
Li Sinuo, still trying to wriggle out of it: "Your Majesty is handsome, refined, and elegant. Though I admire you, I'm afraid my appearance is too unrefined to grace the palace."
The Emperor of Yin, looking pleased with himself: "That's fine. A pretty face alone is worthless, even if it's more beautiful than a hundred flowers."
Li Sinuo: "!!!"
Theme:
I just turned to the back to read it, but I still couldn't help but complain about the male protagonist. For the first time in the history of reading a book on JJ, a male protagonist stated that he didn't like this book in a review.
The writing is quite good, just follow your own ideas
Sofa (≧▽≦) Now we're just waiting for the emperor to fall off his horse. He'll be drunk for a while and be cremated afterwards.
Suddenly I'm worried about what little Snow looks like... Androgynous beauty? In fact, in my heart, she is the kind of person who is so beautiful that she doesn't care about her gender... O(* ̄▽ ̄*)ブ
It will be embarrassing when the horse falls off, hahaha
