Spring Day in the Forbidden Court [Reborn]

Yu Wan, the orphan of a disgraced minister, should have been executed along with his entire family. At the crown prince's word, the executioner's blade stopped an inch from his neck, sparing his life. Yu Wan survived and was sent to the Eastern Palace as a servant, assigned to wait on the crown prince. Everyone in court praised the crown prince for his gentlemanly bearing, though he was cold and unfeeling. But Yu Wan discovered that beneath his handsome, refined face lay secrets no one knew: For instance, the crown prince was skilled in martial arts, with swordsmanship few could match. For instance, he loved to bully Yu Wan, teasing him until he was too angry to speak up. For instance, the crown prince was ruthless and skilled at strategy, refined but no weakling. For instance, the crown prince was no detached, desireless holy man. When he showed his devotion, there was no resisting him. ** The crown prince of the Eastern Palace held a secret in his heart, known to no one. His greatest regret in his previous life was that he had failed to save the orphan of the disgraced minister. That person had a pair of laughing, flirtatious eyes and unmatched beauty, yet died covered in ghastly wounds from torture. After the crown prince ascended the throne and took power, the imperial harem remained empty for twenty years. For those twenty years, he was an emperor, and also a widower imprisoned in the mortal world. After his death, his remains were secretly buried with Yu Wan's. The imperial tomb held not a lonely emperor, but the love of his life. Reborn, he found Yu Wan again, and they would never be parted. Theme: The east wind returns
