Zhao Heng, a princess of the former dynasty, was ordered by the new emperor to marry Xuanwei, the Duke of Wei and a general, as his wife.
Unexpectedly, she was framed. On her wedding night, she was sent to a nunnery outside Bianjing.
Unwilling to endure the humiliation, Zhao Heng took poison and ended her life.
But when she opened her eyes, she found herself in her own princess's residence.
Kneeling before her was a handsome, refined man. “If I offer you an empire as my betrothal gift, will you marry me?”
Zhao Heng was stunned.
Was Shen Jingsong, the new top scholar of Bianjing, renowned for his exceptional talent and beauty, really asking a divorced woman like her to marry him?
My next book, The Azure Maiden, is coming soon. If you're interested, you can bookmark it from my profile.
Here is the blurb:
Zhao You had never met such a stupid assassin. She was beautiful, but empty-headed, with murderous intent written all over her face. The dagger hidden in her sleeve fell to the ground before she could find a chance to strike, giving away her identity.
She turned an assassination attempt into a slapstick performance.
Amused, yet moved by compassion, he not only kept her around, but personally taught her how to win people's hearts and ensnare their minds, and how to kill without a trace. In the end, he even commissioned a master craftsman to make her a pair of short swords.
But when she drew those swords, she plunged them into his heart.
Only then did Zhao You learn that she was the top-ranked assassin in the Qing Sect, a master schemer who had never failed to kill her target.

The Azure Maiden regrets two things more than anything in her life:
First: After successfully assassinating Zhao You, she smugly removed her human-skin mask in front of him and revealed her face.
Second: She failed to strike Zhao You again, allowing him to survive by sheer luck.
So, on countless nights afterward, Zhao You would appear without warning in her room, toying with a short sword and smiling nonchalantly. “Qing'er, you dared to kill the emperor. Why won't you dare to be my empress?”
* The heroine plays the fool while hiding her true nature; the male lead is ruthless and talks a lot.
* Expect love-hate, possessive pursuit, amnesia, and the groveling-after-the-breakup trope, among other melodramatic clichés.
* I'll start writing once I have 50,000 words saved up (progress: 1/5).
* I'll add more when I think of it.
Theme: The road may be long and arduous, but if you keep walking, you will reach your destination.
How can I put it this way? The beginning of this book is pretty good. I like the male and female protagonists, but I'm a bit unfinished at the end. It's not enough.
I don't know why I read the novel from Zhao Xuan's perspective. I feel so aggrieved, and I really hate Xie and the heroine. The heroine's tea smell is too strong.
It looks pretty good, so far.
[Scratching my head] I didn't understand the copywriting. I clicked on the copywriting for the general male protagonist, but it seems that the number one scholar is the male protagonist, so is the general a tool man?
Take good care of yourself. The season has changed, so wear more clothes.
Alas, what a pity! Who wanted to harm her with such evil intentions? This husband looks like nothing! Is this a subjugated princess?
Wow, I am so embarrassed. The former empress and Prime Minister Xie fell in love and killed each other. The empress never had a queen or got pregnant.
Hey, Prince, if you say he is stupid, he is not stupid. If you say he is honest, he is also a bit scheming. He is a good student, not a good prince.
哈哈哈哈哈哈将军直来直去就算了,这皇帝也是大傻杯。
Oops, I like Xin Da Meiren!!!! So interesting~
