Fortune-Telling at My Interstellar Stall

A bolt of lightning strikes Yu Le, who has just started work as a fortune-teller, and sends him hurtling into the interstellar future. Ancient Earth has become a history more distant than the distant past. His new identity is that of a pitiful noble cast into exile. The poor thing is a good-for-nothing with weak talent and a frail body, a disgrace to the nobility and a laughingstock across the stars. He is stranded on a garbage planet. All he has is the ring his master gave him and ten credits in his terminal. With starvation staring him in the face, Yu Le thinks: What difference does it make where I con people? Read feng shui, tell fortunes, sell talismans… He picks up his old trade and carries on as a fortune-teller. * Stories about the mysterious master are spreading throughout the stars. They say he knows more than the supercomputers that span the galaxy. They say he can sketch the past and future with a flick of his fingers. The whole interstellar world trembles at this new word: metaphysics. One day, a powerful big shot comes calling. Yu Le takes one look at him. "Your Fortune Star shines into the Spouse Palace. Love is coming your way." The big shot asks in a low voice, "What kind of person are they?" Yu Le counts on his fingers and thinks hard. "Pure in heart and high-minded, with no family to rely on, living in the southeast, and with a mole on their butt…" As he listens, the big shot's eyes narrow slightly. "This person you're talking about... is it you?"
