The Young Marquis's Sweet Wife

Prime Minister Liu has two daughters. The elder is his legitimate daughter, and on her coming-of-age ceremony, the Emperor issued an edict marrying her to the Crown Prince. In one fell swoop, she became the Crown Princess. The younger daughter was born to a concubine. Some hoped to use the Crown Princess's influence to climb the social ladder by marrying the Second Miss, but everyone who went to the Prime Minister's residence to propose left wanting nothing to do with the family. After three years with no marriage prospects, the Second Miss was betrothed by the new Emperor to the young heir of the Marquis of Dingyuan, who had been sickly for years. Twenty years earlier, a renowned physician in the capital had declared that the young heir was so frail he would never live to see twenty. No noble family dared let their daughters marry him, and even poor families were afraid to send their daughters there. As a result, the young heir of the Marquis of Dingyuan had neither wife nor concubine even at twenty-four. Since the Emperor had decreed it, Second Miss Liu had no choice but to comply. But... Only after she married into the family did Second Miss Liu discover that there was more to the young heir's identity than met the eye... A few notes for readers: 1. The young heir is a woman.
