■ Hokage fanfiction forum July 2018 monthly writing exercise. (Heavily revised.)
■ A writing exercise: I put my heart into the outline and my feet into the prose.
■ Male protagonist, starting in childhood. This part draws on the setup in Itachi Shinden. No romance pairing, only friends from Konoha: brotherhood, the socialist kind.
■ The plot has been fermenting in my head for more than half a year. It has grown from a simple story into something complex and difficult to write, progressing from a C-rank to an S-rank, with lots of new characters and relationships, as well as many changes to the old setup. So... it's a real headache, emmmm.
