Searching for Her Through a Thousand Miles: The Black Tortoise Arc

The Four Divine Beasts and the Four Fiends are legends passed down since ancient times. This story focuses mainly on the Black Tortoise.

What must you give up to earn a glorious reputation that lasts a lifetime? You don't know, and neither do I. Only Taotie knows. This is a world where the Three Realms keep one another in check. Divine beasts and fiends each have a contracted human, known as a "Bondmate." When a Bondmate dies, the beast must find the next one.

Please don't read this with the usual traits associated with these creatures in mind. This is a world I've made up myself.
