The Prince Is Too Frail to Take Care of Himself

Synopsis: The emperor's sixth son, the Sixth Prince, has been unconscious for years after an accident. The imperial physicians all say he won't live through this winter. Elder sister Wen Xian refuses to honor the elders' arranged betrothal and become a bride whose marriage is meant to bring good fortune, so Wen Jiu steps forward and offers to take her place. Everyone thinks she's chasing wealth and status. Why else would a young woman rush to become a widow? Wen Jiu is sent to the bridal chamber. Seeing the jade-faced young man on the bed, she strokes his forehead and vows, "I'll cure you." Half a year later, the Sixth Prince, unconscious for years, survives the winter and wakes up. Having fulfilled her duty, Wen Jiu proposes a divorce, but the Sixth Prince puts it off, saying it would harm his reputation to divorce the bride who brought him good fortune right after waking. Later, during a terrible plague, Wen Jiu discovers a cure and saves countless lives. She becomes the beloved Sixth Princess, and even a prince from a neighboring kingdom declares his love for her. The jealous prince confines the Sixth Princess to the manor. She hasn't made house calls for half a month, and the people worry about her health, so they flock to the prince's manor to ask after her. The manor servants spread the word: The weather has been cold, and the Sixth Prince is frail and sickly. The Sixth Princess is caring for him around the clock and has no time to make house calls. Hearing the news from inside the manor, Wen Jiu clutches her lower back and curses: "Pah! Have you ever seen anyone frail and sickly who's this full of energy?"
