Good Fortune

Someone once said of Huo Yining, "She's had it better than anyone could in this life."

A wealthy family, loving parents, and an older brother.

She had no pressure, and all she had to think about each day was "shop, shop, shop" and "eat, eat, eat."

Then, for no apparent reason, she got a boyfriend.

Other people thought she must have accumulated good karma in her past life to be so lucky.

Faced with such remarks, Huo Yining could only smile. "Now that I have Xie Yunzhou, I might live ten years less."

After they got together, Huo Yining once read a heartbreaking CEO romance novel and complained about it to Xie Yunzhou for days.

"That lousy novel," Xie Yunzhou asked. "Why did the male lead break up with the female lead?"

Huo Yining curled her lip. "The female lead's family went bankrupt, and the male lead's family opposed their relationship."

He gave a faint snort. It was hard to tell whether he was dismissing the idea. "And that's it?"

Crossing one leg over the other, he remarked, "That author is completely out of touch with the times. If your family went bankrupt..."

Huo Yining looked up at him curiously, waiting for him to continue.

"I'd hide you away," he said, narrowing his eyes with an almost-smile. "Keep you here and feed you cakes so sweet they'd make your teeth ache... until you forgot your surname was Huo and remembered only sweetness."

1. Neither the male nor female lead is perfect.

2. It's not a purely sweet romance, but it won't get too angsty either. It's more of a slightly bittersweet story (?).

Theme: Respect and love yourself.
