Summoned to Survive [Apocalypse]

[Warning] Readers who want chaste characters, stay away! The romance is stiff and slow to develop! [Warning] Written in 2019. This old story will not receive major revisions. It may contain ideas that don't align with today's mainstream views, so read with caution. The original text of Chapter One: Everything changed when people with special abilities began to appear. Humanity was divided into classes, and this system of hierarchy was harsher than ever. Ordinary people were like ants, while those with abilities stood above them. In the face of the powerful enemies of the apocalypse, ordinary people who couldn't evolve were nothing but prey, destined to be eliminated. Xu Yang, a university student, had suffered through everything imaginable while she was still human. In the end, she was thrown out of the base like a piece of rotten meat. She was "lucky" enough not to be eaten completely by the zombies, and then she became a zombie herself. A one-star zombie, the weakest and most useless cannon fodder. At that point, having a mind of her own only made things more painful. As Xu Yang wandered aimlessly, she often wondered why she still retained those dark memories. Why had she become a one-star zombie, unable to evolve? Why make her "live" like this? If fate had no mercy for her, why play such a cruel joke, keeping her under its thumb as she struggled in vain to find release? Even then, Xu Yang knew there was no salvation in this world. It was all a lie. Then she died, even as a zombie. But... it seemed she had come back to life. [Her previous life is only briefly covered. Stay away if that bothers you! Read the comments on Chapter One for lots of warnings, and subscribe with caution!] [There may be other unknown landmines. Expect a barrage of shocking content, so buy with caution!] [Stay away if that bothers you.] [Warnings] [Important] Neither of the two is exactly a good person, and Lu Huixue is no saint. [Another warning] The female protagonist can't drive at first. The author just thought it'd be fun. She learns later, so stay away if that bothers you. What happens when an ordinary person faces the apocalypse? No special abilities, nothing to her name, but still good-looking. Of course, she'll be better off dead. Xu Yang no longer remembered how many years she'd been a zombie. She wandered through the apocalypse, conscious but unable to evolve. She'd been an ordinary person as a human, and becoming a zombie hadn't changed a thing. How unfair. But that was how the world worked. It had never been fair. The instant someone cut off her head and dug the crystal core out of her brain, everything Xu Yang had experienced played out in her mind with absolute clarity. Was it a life flashing before her eyes? No. She had been reborn. She would live. [Because of the aftereffects of being reborn, Xu Yang's thinking is objectively abnormal, and she has preconceived, stereotypical opinions about Lu Huixue.] [Stay away if that bothers you.] An outwardly harmless, pitiful-looking top who's secretly a cold-blooded big shot with a hidden edge vs. an outwardly gentle, mature beauty who's secretly a loyal, pure-hearted bottom Xu Yang: That saint, Lu Huixue... Lu Huixue: ??? I'm really not a saint! The story opens on May 1. I'll do my best to update daily. If you like it, please add it to your favorites. If you don't, click away. Exclusive to Jinjiang.
