Look What I Drew

[This is a short story] "Today's top post on Bishui: Your mentor was exposed for sleeping with a fan." Lu Wei is an old hand on Jinjiang, writing overpowered heroes in the danmei section. He wrote 300,000 words over the course of a year and still couldn't get a contract. His mentor was someone he'd found on Bishui. The mentor used an account with no stars or hearts, claimed to have sold ten million copies of a book and to be a top tycoon in film and television, and had just five words to say about Lu Wei's hard-won work: Quit writing already. Lu Wei: I don't believe in fate! I'm going to stand beside my goddess on Jinjiang's rankings and have a romantic encounter with her at the Jinjiang Annual Gala! After a night of hard work, Lu Wei's eyes were bloodshot and his body trembled. The big shot's low voice sounded in his ear: "Now do you know what romance is?" Theme: Growth is the best cure for loneliness.
