*Important: This is BL, but the story is just getting started, so there is no romantic development yet. The two getting together is where things are headed.
The owner of a grocery store in an old residential complex on Fuhé Street is killed on the spot when a television falls on him.
A tidy room, damaged surveillance cameras, a floor soaked with water, and strange relationships between the people involved... Everything feels off.
While they wait for the forensic report, a "detective" who has been threatened into helping for special reasons and the "assistant" who threatened him race to solve the case. The assistant wants to make amends for accidentally cutting the wires in the police headquarters' surveillance room. No one knows why he went there to mess with the wires in the first place, much less why he wasn't arrested.
But the assistant never expects that, as they work through the case, the "detective" will suddenly start crying...
A penniless detective with tear ducts that work overtime, paired with a mischievous, carefree rich heir as his assistant
*This is an experimental short story, with no complicated setup or elaborate tricks. The mystery is solved mostly through attention to detail. It's not too brain-burning, but I hope it gets your little gray cells working!
*The writing isn't elegant, and the narration is mostly plainspoken. The goal is simply to make things clear.
