To escape a miserable life struggling at the bottom of society, Ping Gu, a young maid who prepares medicine at an apothecary, strikes a deal with a suddenly appearing "Bodhisattva." In exchange for "two prices," she gains a beautiful face. One of those prices is giving up the love she has felt for three years for a frail young man she calls "Young Master." The usually silent Young Master, for some reason, tells a strange and sorrowful story today. After drinking the medicine mixed with the green powder given to him by the "Bodhisattva," he disappears. Ping Gu is heartbroken, but then overcome with joy at finally becoming beautiful. Yet when everything goes her way, she realizes things are nowhere near as easy or simple as she imagined. It seems that the strange story is coming true. A "price" is not something one can give up so easily. Like someone else, she must suffer the punishment of regret... The world without the one she loves sinks into an unshakable grayness.
