Miss Jilaina Jo Brown is a Muggle from Manhattan. She suffered through a difficult childhood with her irresponsible father, and has a complex, changeable personality. She knows how to butter up adults to get their attention, and makes a point of pleasing everyone except her stepmother. What will change when she receives her Hogwarts acceptance letter? Oh, that's right, she's the heroine of this story. Whether you love her or not, she will never truly love you.
A few tips before you dive in:
1. The heroine is unlikeable at first. The people and principles she fiercely defends are all in service of her own selfish desires.
2. This story doesn't romanticize the original heroine, any Hogwarts house, or any of the characters from the original Harry Potter books.
3. Her story with Harry's trio is rich and eventful, and conflict with the Slytherin group is unavoidable (the heroine is a Slytherin). Her romance with Draco runs throughout the story, and the ending is definitely not what you'd expect.
