After her father's sudden death,
Lin Mei transfers to a high school in the county town and moves in with her uncle.
Her uncle and aunt abuse her in every way, and even plan to sell her for thirty thousand yuan.
Xu Jun brings Lin Mei home just like that, her clothes disheveled and her eyes full of tears.
After Xu Jun rescues a young girl, he keeps having nightmares.
The fragmented, intermittent dreams tell stories of things that seem to have really happened.
In her dreams, the girl is bullied by different people, in different places, in different ways.
Every time, he watches in unbearable anguish, yet is powerless to help.
The girl is now sweet and obedient, with a smile like a flower, but in his dreams, she's always bullied until she's on the verge of tears.
