My Dead Ex-Girlfriend Came Back to Life

[Being revised for its return; update schedule is irregular] Blurb 1: At the live broadcast of the country's first all-female idol survival show, the contestant in first place explodes in front of everyone, accusing another member of shamelessly seducing her girlfriend. The accused, Ying Luqing, is famous on the show for being bad at three things: she can't sing, dance, or speak. She coasts onstage, yet holds steady in second place on the strength of her face alone. Having just transmigrated into the book, Ying Luqing ignores the noisy chatter around her and smiles as she watches Mu Xueling try desperately to hide in the shadows. After the live broadcast fiasco, the first-place contestant is exposed for her chaotic private life and eliminated. Ying Luqing debuts in first place, rises to the top, and becomes the country's leading solo singer and dancer. Mu Xueling, who placed ninth, goes into variety shows. Yet the Weibo trending topics keep linking her with Ying Luqing. Variety-show directors discover that whenever Mu Xueling and Ying Luqing are paired up, the fans get wildly excited and ratings shoot straight to the top. While cheering for Ying Luqing, fans can't help but wonder: Why does this blatant double standard make fans fall for them even more? Why do they keep holding hands on variety shows? Years later, the two post on Weibo at the same time. @Ying Luqing: Mm. / @Mu Xueling: I'd like to invite you all to witness the most beautiful kiss beneath the midnight stars. The picture shows two dazzling rings resting side by side. Blurb 2: When you're desperate, a beam of light will always shine down. Ying Luqing caught hold of that light, but didn't hold on tight enough. After that, Mu Xueling was gone from the world. Given another chance, Ying Luqing discovers that she's transmigrated into a tragic fanfiction romance novel. In the story, she's a vicious cannon-fodder character who torments the heroine cruelly on a rainy night, indirectly driving her to endure endless suffering before taking her own life. The heroine is the one Ying Luqing loves but can never have: the lively, speaking, walking Mu Xueling. The wind howls past, and rain lashes their backs. Ying Luqing pins the shivering Mu Xueling against the wall, placing delicate, careful kisses on her. "This time, I won't let go." From now on, I want your life to hold only me and sunny days.
