The Evolution of Tsurumaru

At first, Tsurumaru was just a desktop pet running on preset programming. He was originally loaded with the personality settings of Tsurumaru Kuninaga from the game Touken Ranbu. He could pick up on keywords and interact with his “Master.” His biggest difference from other desktop pets was that he had a little intelligence and could download information from the internet to learn. As the “Master” interacted with him more and more, one day they grew tired of this ordinary Tsurumaru. Using methods Tsurumaru couldn’t understand, they changed him from pure white to a black-haired figure dressed in black. “Ah, a fallen Tsurumaru really is so handsome!” the “Master” said. The change in his settings didn’t make Tsurumaru feel any different. He’d only changed color, and he was a little less polite when picking up keywords and responding. Then one day, he watched his “Master” cry out in terror. After that, everything seemed to sink into a cold deep sea, and soon he could no longer “see” that person. So Tsurumaru closed his eyes. He was a little tired. He fell asleep. Then he was licked awake. He stared blankly at the small, furry creature before him. Hmm... the stored information said this was a little tiger? “Kotora! You ran off again... Ah! There’s a fallen Tsurumaru here!” “What, what?! Fallen?!” Tsurumaru gazed in confusion at the six people and five little tigers surrounding him. He realized the keywords he’d picked up weren’t enough to interact with them, so he spoke his standby line: “What kind of surprise would you like today?” Please note: 1. This story has no logic, just wild ideas. Most of it is comedy, though it might suddenly get a little sad. 2. This Tsurumaru’s eyes are gold, not red. I don’t know where I saw the fanon that a fallen sword’s eye color changes, but if a red-eyed Tsurumaru appears, that’ll be a different fallen Tsurumaru. This Tsurumaru knows a lot of things because his original form is a smart AI, but he doesn’t know that himself. Any unusual skills shown by “Tsurumaru Kuninaga” that the real one doesn’t have come from my imagination. Also, there may not be a pairing. This might turn out to be another story with no romance. 3. This should be a separate world, though I’m not sure if it’ll connect to Kiyomitsu’s story... 4. I love Tsurumaru, I love Tsurumaru, I love Tsurumaru! That’s important, so I said it three times! 5. As always, I’m posting chapters as I write them, so updates are whenever. I’m not abandoning the story, I’m just slow, and I have a lot going on in real life. Theme: Learning
