The Sweeping Star of Fortune in Dream of the Red Chamber

Word is the Jinx Star can't sit still. Word is the Jinx Star always brings bad luck to others, yet never suffers any misfortune himself. Word is that as long as the Lucky Star is around, there's no need to worry about the Jinx Star's bad luck. Word is... Word is the Lucky Star went down to the mortal realm to undergo a trial not long ago. Word is everyone is avoiding the Jinx Star. Word is the Jinx Star passed by the Peach Garden yesterday, and the peaches won't bear fruit again for another thousand years. Word is the kindhearted Queen Mother got angry. Word is the Queen Mother kicked the Jinx Star down to the mortal realm. Word is Heaven threw a banquet to celebrate after the Jinx Star descended. The Jinx Star: "Is any of that actually true?"

The Lucky Star: "Instead of gossiping, why don't you..."

The Jinx Star: "..."

My next story, As the Black Mountain Old Demon, I Only Want to Farm, Not Fight, is now updating! My upcoming story, The Magical Brush of Jia She in Dream of the Red Chamber, has this synopsis:

Jia She died in a frozen wasteland, surrounded by icy snow. Only then did he finally understand how to live, but by then it was too late.

"If I get another life, I hope I can open my eyes and live freely and without restraint..."

When he opened his eyes again, what appeared before him was a brush. The moment he took hold of it, he was bound to something called a Divine Brush. Since it was a divine brush, it must have extraordinary powers. But why did using it require merit points?

What, you're out of money? The Divine Brush can make it appear.

What, you don't have enough merit points? Can you top them up?

What, this old master has to do good deeds himself? Is that the sort of person I am?

The very next moment, Master Jia She was hurrying off to help an old lady cross the street...

My upcoming story, I Work as a City God in Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, has this synopsis:

With a thump, Qi Xunwen collapsed to the ground. By the time he woke up, he was in an unfamiliar place. From then on, his materialist worldview vanished without a trace. In its place, he got a secure job for life, one he couldn't even quit. But can he return this secure job? Can he refuse to accept it?
