Strangers in the Endless Night [Infinite Flow]

Synopsis: Ye Sun grew up in an orphanage, learning from a young age to read people's expressions and live by the rule that self-interest comes first. A System called "Nightmare" found him, turned nightmares into reality, and drew him into the board game of the Old Gods. Only then did the arrogant Ye Sun realize just how insane the real world could be. Mere humans cannot survive in an age of darkness. Though he had almost nothing compared to the other players, he climbed over their shoulders again and again, making his way to the top of the food chain. Until that thing erased him... Naya spotted a familiar face among the trial-takers. Naya: Why aren't you dead yet? Ye Sun: You've got the wrong person. Naya: I'll give you a chance to beg me. Ye Sun: Get lost. Naya: I'll give you a chance to serve me. Ye Sun: Get lost. Naya: I'll give you a chance to be my lover. Ye Sun: ...Go die, evil god. All that rambling is really just a plot-driven, melodramatic story~ Couple: High-IQ, scheming shou x cold-on-the-outside, shameless-on-the-inside heretical gong PS/Warnings: 1. This isn't traditional Lovecraftian horror. It doesn't take the genre's conventions that seriously _(:з"∠)_ 2. The gong's name is borrowed from Nyarlathotep, one of the Three Pillar Gods in the Cthulhu Mythos. He is not the actual evil god. The truth is only revealed much, much later, because this god seemed like a good fit for the gong's nasty personality~ 3. The story wasn't revised after completion, so there are a few typos left later on. They don't affect reading. (Please stop scolding me...) Upcoming story: 935 was an experienced System who always championed a work philosophy of getting along with Hosts and facing everything together. Whenever he saw 744 next door forcing its Hosts and driving them insane one after another, he would pat his own Hosts on the head with an invisible little tentacle and tell them how considerate he was. That was until he met a complete jerk. The Host had gotten the script in advance, beat up the chosen one, trampled on fate and karma, and turned every world upside down. The plot was so thoroughly wrecked that even its own mother wouldn't recognize it! When the Main System reviewed his work performance, 935 got the lowest possible score. After he was punished by being turned into a pig, he finally went mad. 935 raised a pig's trotter at his jerk Host (standing in for a middle finger): You think you can just walk away after we sever our bond? Just you wait. A certain Host returned to his original world, ready to begin his reborn comeback. But on the morning after severing his bond with 935, he found a pig in his bed...
