The Face Pawnshop

Have you ever heard of face-swapping?

Not plastic surgery, and not makeup. It's a supernatural art that swaps the buyer's face with the seller's, granting the wishes of those who love wealth and beauty alike. The Face Pawnshop specializes in such thoughtful services.

Xu Liangqin was once the pawnshop's heir. He considered himself the shop's conscience and helped a whole generation of promising newcomers. But they not only stole his position as heir, they also ruined his face-swapping skills and kicked him out of the pawnshop. After learning his lesson, he went far away to look after his love rival's child, swearing never to have anything to do with face-swapping again. Then one day, the rival's child boldly declared, "My dream is to become a face-swapper!"

With no choice, Xu Liangqin swallowed his pride and went to seek help from the promising newcomers he'd once helped. But why did every one of them seem to hold a grudge against him, constantly threatening him with little whips, tying him up with little chains, and locking him in a little dark room?
