The Person in My Dreams

Perhaps the secret of fate is simply this: though he is nearing forty and has held more women in his arms than others have had erotic dreams, he still dreams of his younger self, dreaming.

In a dream within a dream, someone lowers their eyes and says, "I hate your face, and yet I love it, too."

His younger self has yet to wake, but he has already opened his eyes with a smile.
