[Western Crossover] Cat Spirit

Scene One:

“Lookout station calling for emergency backup. Large-scale explosion detected in Iceland, Eastern Hemisphere, at latitude 64.09 north, longitude 21.56 west. Assistance required.”

“Batman online.”

“Superman online.”

“Meow, ”

Scene Two:

“League Proposal No. 19431: The Green Arrow's induction. All in favor?”

“I am.” Superman sits upright at the conference table.

“I am.” Wonder Woman seems distracted, twirling her Lasso of Truth in one hand.

“Meow, ”

“Cat Spirit, please state your position clearly.”

In the sci-fi lookout station's conference room, silver-white chairs with a metallic sheen float around the conference table. One of them is empty, oh, no, a paw reaches out to rest on the edge of the table. Then a head appears: black fur, dark golden eyes, and... a cat's head. It looks around, then raises its other paw and taps. A few letters appear on the screen before it.

The figure withdraws again, resting its head on its front paws. Sitting across from it, the Flash can once more see only an empty chair.

Set in the DC universe, mainly, with a mix of the movies and comics. The two settings are blended, and I choose whichever I like better. The movies only adapted a small part of the comics, after all. Witches, mutants, and other universe's superheroes make occasional guest appearances.

Batman is my favorite superhero, without question. Batman romance, Batman romance, Batman romance.

The initial inspiration for this story probably came from the scene in the Justice League movie after Superman was resurrected, when Diana tells Batman, “You know you can't be Batman forever.” Batman replies, “I'm barely being Batman right now.”
