"Please sit down. How have you been feeling lately?"
"I still don't think I'm ill, Doctor. My imaginary friend says the Strange Realm is coming soon. I saw the pen starving, the phone mocking the clock's newly formed scabs of blood, and the shadow wanting to taste you."
Sigh.
The doctor sighed and wrote:
[Patient Feng Mo, hospitalized for 63 days. Schizophrenia. No significant improvement. Increase medication as prescribed.]
Suddenly, the pen bit him.
Ah Gui is one of Feng Mo's imaginary friends.
An imaginary friend is a completely fictional, nonexistent friend. Some people pretend to have friends because they're bored, while others, like Feng Mo, often hear and see things that aren't there.
Until one day, Feng Mo suddenly realized that other people could see Ah Gui too.
The rules of the Strange Realm say never to believe what a ghost says. Otherwise, it will corrupt you, and you'll be trapped in the Strange Realm forever.
Ah Gui said: I'll slowly corrupt you into a monster. You can't escape.
Feng Mo: Funny, I was thinking of corrupting you into a human.
Ah Gui: ?
Feng Mo: I found you a job at the electronics factory next door. But you don't have an ID, so I'll hold on to your wages for you.
Ah Gui: ???
PS:
1. The male lead has no romantic pairing.
2. This is my take on Infinite stories. The Strange Realm instances may contain frightening scenes, but the golden finger is ridiculously powerful, so feel free to enjoy.
3. If the logic seems off, the plot is clichéd, or you think the author is a terrible person, I'll kneel first and apologize!
Theme: Humanity's anthem is an anthem of courage!
