[Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio] My Benefactor Is Yan Chixia

Huli was a little fox spirit. One day, everyone heard he was going to repay a debt of gratitude, and his many aunts, uncles, and older brothers rushed over to give him advice. "Don't be scared. Repaying a kindness is easy! Promise him high office, wealth, a beautiful wife and concubines, and a fortune. If all else fails, spend a night with him. That should do it." Huli said solemnly, "No! I'm not that kind of fox!" His relatives nodded in unison. "We understand." Then they asked, "Have you found your benefactor?" Huli: "I have! He's a Taoist priest!" His relatives: "!!!" Huli was very troubled. He didn't know why people kept misunderstanding his relationship with his benefactor when all he wanted was to repay a kindness. The first time someone misunderstood their relationship, Huli said, "What?! Why would you think that?! Don't make things up! I didn't! I'm innocent!" By the Nth time someone misunderstood their relationship, Huli said, "Never mind. Just enjoy yourselves :)" When everyone finally realized they'd misunderstood his relationship with his benefactor, Huli said, "...Ahem, well, actually, it's not a misunderstanding anymore."
