Synopsis
There was no legendary rainbow around the sun or auspicious light shining everywhere, nor any phoenix cries or dragons roaring and tigers growling. After sleeping for over a thousand years, an ancient powerhouse, an unbelievably powerful Divine Emperor, quietly woke up like this... A flock of birds scattered in a panic, and the ground shook for miles around.
This is the story of a stone born alongside chaos and the grass growing in a crack in that stone. It's also known as He and His Single Strand of Hair.
Di Qian and Si Fan were born from chaos. Once heaven and earth had taken shape, they wandered to an oasis and put down roots, living a peaceful, quiet life. But the world beyond the oasis was far from peaceful. In ancient times, the gifts of heaven and earth were abundant, and the enlightened humans and beasts were constantly at war. One day, a tremendous crash tore a huge hole through the ancient tree that had sheltered them for millennia. The fires of war had finally reached this beautiful, fertile land.
To restore the oasis to its former peace, Di Qian and Si Fan left to find the source of the conflict. But they discovered that there was nowhere peaceful in a world at war, and that the only way to end war was through war. Together, they helped countless clans put an end to the chaos. During the final great battle of ancient times, the Demon God Yuan Feng sought to burn every living thing and reshape the world. The timeline goes like this: meeting in Chaos - life together at the oasis - working together across the Six Wilds - staying together in Cangyuan - meeting again in the Ninth Heaven. The Oasis, Six Wilds, and Cangyuan are place names, and all the events up to Cangyuan take place in ancient times. The ancient battlefield is called Cangyuan.
