Later, Dad Su brought home a little monk with a smooth, adorable bald head. The little monk was four years old, with rosy skin, big, watery eyes, and long, fluttering lashes. Dressed in a little monk's robe, with Buddhist prayer beads around his neck and a tiny bamboo basket on his back, he said in a babyish voice, "Amitabha." And then: The pampered Su Mom kissed him. "Where did this little fairy come from? So cute, so cute!" The icy older brother, Su Yan, hugged him. "If anyone picks on you, call your big brother." The gentle second brother, Su Hang, lifted him high. "Should I buy you some candy, little brother?" The prickly third brother, Su Ye, patted his head. "Hmph, he's only sort of cute." Su Mingjing struggled with all his might. Who dared touch Taotie's head! Even if it was only a newborn little Taotie, earnestly cultivating and devoted to Buddhism, it still had its dignity. And it was hungry! New novel, Can a Socially Anxious Person Make a Good Emperor? Now serializing. Welcome, dears! 1. Updated daily at 9:00 p.m. Original title: Dad or Mom, I'm the Strongest He Jiu was timid and bad at socializing, with severe social anxiety. She was born into the Great Wei dynasty and became an inconspicuous member of its many princes. If her secret was discovered, she would be thrown away. He Jiu clutched her secret identity as a girl close and carefully hid the fact that she was a little monster, living in the most remote part of the imperial palace. She didn't know who her father was, and had expected life to be difficult. But although the Jiujiu Palace where she lived was remote, it was beautiful and no less splendid than the other palaces. The palace servants didn't dare bully her. When she got sick, a doctor arrived quickly, and at night someone even came to check her pulse and treat her injuries while she slept. She grew up safe and sound in the corner she loved, with no one to disturb her. One day in class, the teacher called on her to answer a question. She was so nervous that her mind went blank. Her face turned red, and she couldn't answer. The noble young men mocked her, saying that despite her good looks, she was mediocre and a disgrace to the imperial princes. She was so embarrassed that she nearly burst into tears. Her mother, clad in a dragon robe, came through a crowd of thousands who had gathered to pay their respects. She picked He Jiu up and wiped away her sweat. "She will amaze the rivers and mountains of this land." Everyone fell silent and begged forgiveness, prostrating themselves on the ground, not daring to make a sound. She was the only empress in Great Wei's thousand-year history, accomplished in civil and military affairs, decisive and admired by all. She was also a tyrant who had killed her father and brother to seize the throne, feared by everyone. He Jiu nestled against her mother's shoulder and hugged her tightly. She had to keep her psychic powers under control and study hard, so she wouldn't turn into a fool who could only say, "Mom, I love you!" 2. The emperor was heartless. He Qilin cared only for the realm and its territory, and was cold and unfeeling toward all the imperial heirs. That was until the autumn hunt and ancestral rites, when she took the imperial heirs to dine in the forest. The mosquitoes weren't afraid of her, which bothered her quite a bit. All the imperial heirs were eating carefully and nervously. In a corner, a child clenched her little fists and struggled with all her might. A transparent figure emerged from her head. No one else could see it. The figure gradually became solid. It cupped its hands and tiptoed quietly over to her. He Qilin rested a hand on her steel-boned folding fan, looking nonchalant. If the stranger made a move, she would kill them with one strike. The child rose onto her tiptoes and reached out. Smack! She killed a mosquito with perfect accuracy. He Qilin: "?" 3. Apart from his looks, the Seventh Prince was utterly ordinary and unremarkable, yet he was the emperor's favorite. Even the other princes doted on him. The court officials were baffled, but didn't dare voice their doubts. One day, the mystery was solved. The revelation shook the court and astonished the common people alike. Millions upon millions of people petitioned for the Seventh Prince to become crown prince. Not only did no one in court object, but a wave of fervent admiration swept the realm. It was even more intense than when Her Majesty had ascended the throne as a woman. He Qilin: "You will be crown prince, and one day you'll become emperor." He Jiu: "QAQ Help, Mom, I have social anxiety. I can't be a good emperor!" He Qilin: "...You've already done everything an emperor is supposed to do." Minister: Seventh Prince, your secret identities have all been exposed. You're Master Lu, the ironmaking expert; you're Aunt Can, the textile expert; you're also the beloved friend of all scholars, known as Jiu Boya; and you're the one who solved the Jianghuai embezzlement case. You've kept us in the dark for so long! The other princes: Our younger sister really is the strongest. We can't beat her, don't want to fight her, and don't want to get beaten up either. The people: I hear the future emperor is powerful but shy, always hiding behind her mother and ministers. What should we do? She's kind of adorable.
