The protagonist finally died, bringing his miserable and short life to an end.
He had loved many people, but every one of them hated him.
His childhood friend, who joined the sect at the same time as him, thought his talent was poor and gradually drifted away from him;
His master took him as a disciple only to suppress the demonic bone within him, then extracted his spiritual bone to cure his junior disciple;
His aloof and saintly senior brother never smiled and treated him as though he were invisible;
His innocent, adorable, frail junior disciple made fun of him for amusement, and would casually beat and scold him whenever the mood struck.
The heaven's favored genius of the cultivation world, the one he had always cherished in his heart, thought his affection sullied his reputation and hated him with all his heart.
After spending a century suppressing demons with his own body, the protagonist, who should have been as good as dead, crawled out of the Demon-Suppressing Abyss, his appearance utterly transformed.
Back among the living, he thought everyone would be glad that no one was around to bother them anymore, and had probably long forgotten he ever existed. But then he discovered...
His master had gone into seclusion and vowed never to take another disciple;
His senior brother stood guard outside the Demon-Suppressing Abyss day and night, never taking a step away;
His junior disciple seemed to have gone mad, with a puppet identical to him following close behind;
The once-greatest genius in the cultivation world had stopped advancing, his cultivation stagnant.
Protagonist: ???
Protagonist: Move aside. You're blocking the way for me and my little snake.

The protagonist, who had suppressed demons with his own body, thought he would die. Who knew that, despite having his spiritual bone extracted and being left with only his demonic bone, he would thrive in the Demon-Suppressing Abyss?
Why cultivate immortality or uphold the righteous path? Isn't being a demonic cultivator much better?
In the dark, gloomy Demon-Suppressing Abyss, the protagonist found a little snake, thin and pitiful. Overcome with kindness, he fed the little snake, as thin as a cord, his own blood, and they depended on each other for survival.
After leaving the abyss, his master, senior brother, junior disciple, and white moonlight blocked his way, leaving him with nowhere to go. Then the little cord wrapped around his wrist sprang into the air and transformed into a gigantic black dragon, sheltering him completely with its tail.
Protagonist: ...So you're a dragon, not a snake?
The little snake rubbed its body against the protagonist's fingers ingratiatingly. As long as you want me to, I'll always be your little snake.
