Southern Tangerines, Northern Flames

Nan Ju, visiting the north for the first time, was taken by her roommate to try the barbecue night market near their university. There she unexpectedly met her roommate's cousin: Qi Beichi, the campus heartthrob of J University, who had captivated countless girls across the university district. The open-air barbecue stall was full of smoke, packed with customers, and noisy all around. Nan Ju sat on a plastic stool, at a loss for what to do. What made her most uncomfortable was the pair of eyes fixed on her from across the table, bright as wildfire and laced with a roguish smile. Nan Ju was from the south and didn't even reach Qi Beichi's shoulder. Still, he spotted her in the crowd at a glance. She had big eyes and a heart-shaped face. From a distance, she looked like a tiny little doll. She came over and softly echoed her roommate's greeting to Qi Beichi. "Cousin." Her voice was soft and sweet, like a kitten asking for attention. Qi Beichi casually gulped down some cold beer. What a handful. Later... Nan Ju spent four years at university in the north. She came to think that Qi Beichi, whom everyone else saw as roguishly cool, was the real handful. Naoting means annoying. Both are virgins. Gentle, soft southern girl x roguishly handsome northern wolf-dog Core idea: Where there's a will, there's a way.
